THE IQS BRIDGE

(Training Program In Welding & NDT)

In order to bridge the gap between college and Industry a well-designed program in Welding and NDT, the (The IQS Bridge) for fresh engineers is developed. Before and during this development, we had discussions with prominent corporate organizations. We are also sending these program details to different Industries to get the benefit of certified students’ recruitment. I am sure this program will be a very good career developing step for the engineers passing the engineering degree or diploma. This program Is also applicable for science graduates who have an inclination for industrial jobs.

THE OLDER TIMES

There was a time when corporates were inducting fresh engineers, giving them on the job training for maybe 2 years and were then putting them to actual work. A good 2 to 4 months of orientation in each department, a good mentoring, and you are ready to take the bull by the horn! You climb up the ladder with such good foundation, and have good opportunities within the organization or outside, thanks to the foundation!

THE SCENE TODAY

You, as a fresh engineer, are having an interview. You have prepared well, gone through the theory you have learnt all these years, talked to your friends, gone through the company website etc. You are obviously having no experience of or exposure to the industry and the industry generally needs only experienced engineers! Now this is a typical catch 22 situation which is not new to us, and definitely needs a solution. Even if the industry is specifically looking for fresh engineers, questions in an interview are not all engineering theory. A very simple question related to what’s going on in the industry can put off an interviewee, and this can be termed a negative point by the interviewer.
